INTERNETS!

I'm not sure what exactly was happening, or what exactly I did to fix it, but I have internet now! Apparently I had a Japanese program that was mucking up the wireless stuff, so a lot of blind clicking through that (when you're using an English OS and running a Japanese program, the program's Japanese text doesn't show up properly - you either get wingdings or ????????? all over the place and it is FRUSTRATING) and we seem to have worked out an agreement.

YAY I AM SO HAPPY!

Help?

So, back at home for a couple of weeks. And while my family has wireless set up here, for some reason my computer is not able to use it. Which is driving me up the wall 'cause I NEED a computer that displays/types in Japanese (the family one isn't set up for it anymore, and I don't have the patience to poke around on it).

My computer sees that there's wireless available, but it can't connect to it. I've got the password and everything, but it's not working. And it is loooooooooooooooooooooooooonelyyyyyyyyyyy!

At least I've got BAD to look forward to....

Last night I went to bed with a nasty headache.

Sometime in the middle of the night I did that half-awake, half-asleep thing and realized that I was totally having a migraine aura.

This morning I woke up with a migraine.

At 8:05.

Which is when I'm usually arriving in Umeda and getting on the train to work.

Which is also too late to call in sick.

Which wouldn't have worked anyway today because tomorrow is our Christmas Concert.

Somehow I made it out the door and onto the subway in 5 minutes, which let me make all the connections I needed to get to work on time.

Where I spent time with noisy, attention-seeking little babies.

And a migraine.

Which lasted until about 10pm tonight.

I hate Christmas Concert season.

bleh

My arm is pinkish and kinda swollen right around where the flu shot went in yesterday, and it still hurts. Not nearly as much as a tetanus shot, though. But this morning I was in pain from my shoulder joint all the way down to the joints in my fingers. Wheefun!

Also today a doctory-type person came to our school because apparently the clinic or whatever that did the health check at our company meeting forgot to do part of it. So I had to leave my class - in the middle of teaching - to go into another room and lift up my shirt (I swear last year they were able to do this with my shirt still down) so he could check my breathing/heartbeat. And tell me that I'm fat.

Don't matter that he looked 90 years old, I felt like kicking him in the teeth.

YOU GUYS, I HAVE A NEW LIFE PLAN.

Are you sitting, 'cause this is going to be something of a shock for those of you who've known me for a while.

Ready?

Ready?

I AM GOING TO MARRY NINO.

No, wait, hear me out. This is going to be perfect.

If I marry Nino, my boys who are obsessed with him will always be hanging around.

And Nino will be obsessed with playing his video games, so he won't notice me having an uwaki in the other room.

Also, as long as he got to buy new video games he wouldn't care what I bought.

IT IS A CUNNING PLAN.

A PLAN MORE CUNNING THAN THE ONE TO KIDNAP GO AND HAVE A NABE PARTY WITH TONISEN.

A CUNNING PLAN FULL OF...
Halloween Update

I now have ALL the supplies needed to finish the costume. And then some.

Things that are completely finished as of right now:

- fluffy thing
- I FOUND BOOTS
- hat
- gloves

Things that I am in the middle of:
- t-shirt modifications

Things to do before going out tonight:
- finish the t-shirt
- all of the jumpsuit mods

I only really started working on assembling the stuff last night - I'd done some supply runs previously, but hadn't had the time to sit down and start working. Yesterday after work I looked through one last set of shoe stores and found boots in Namba Walk for about 2000yen, so that felt like a pretty big accomplishment.

Then I made the mistake of deciding to NOT get dinner on the way home. Instead I was going to fix something with the stuff I have AFTER I got some work done on the fluffy thing.

And we all know how well I do with keeping myself fed when I'm in the middle of a project.

So yeah, I um, missed dinner last night (and basically lunch, too, 'cause I only ate some of the Halloween Party leftovers at work). BUT I got the fluffy thing completely finished AND about 50% of the shirt done.

Then I hit a wall and realized that I didn't really have the proper tools to finish the t-shirt.

So I scheduled a new supply run for today and went to bed. Of course, then my schedule was completely fucked over by my period starting, so I had to make room for a couple hours of puking my guts out (or as much as possible considering I hadn't eaten in too long). But I'm all better now! And I even made sure to get some food on my way back home after picking up the last of the stuff I need! And now I'm going to finish that t-shirt!

[edit 15:36: T-SHIRT IS FINISHED! Amazing how much easier it was with the right equipment!]

ugh

I woke up this morning thinking it was Saturday. I have two different alarms set for weekdays (関ジャニ∞ － ∞o'clock) and weekends (Daichi saying もう、はよ寝ーや) specifically so I don't get confused about what day it is. Yet recently mornings have been confusing. Guess I should switch my weekday one to something new....

And then today was one of the worst/scariest days at work I've had in a while.

So, I'm a nursery teacher. This means that, especially during the fall/winter, I have a permanent cold. There are just too many runny noses that I have to deal with, too many germs going around, and no matter how many times I wash my hands or spray them with the alcohol spray, I'm going to get sick. Right now I've got a runny/stuffy nose so breathing is hard. We're wearing the stupid masks during daycare and anytime we go outside, which makes breathing hard. Combined with my cold.... not cool. One of the moms today asked me if I liked wearing the mask, and I kind of hesitated before answering. She just laughed at me and answered "no" for me, and admitted it's silly but everyone in Japan does it, so.... I like that mom.

Anyway. We took my class outside this morning to run around on the playground, so when we came back in, as part of our oh-so-sensible piggy flu precautions, everyone has to gargle. Yes, everyone. Including my nursery kids. Including the one who only has TWO TEETH. This makes lots of sense. My partner and I have a bit of a routine for this now, where first everyone takes their turn at the sink to wash their hands, and then go sit down against the wall behind us. Once everyone has washed hands, they get called up one-by-one so we can help them with the whole gargling thing. This usually consists of us giving them their cup of water and saying "Drink... ok, now PEH! No, don't swallow it! PEH! PEH! Spit it out!" Meanwhile the kids are happily drinking the water from their cups, and we just sigh and let them, then move on to the next one in line.

But today, while we were helping a couple of the kids, one of the girls waiting her turn against the wall started to cry. She's been crying a lot recently (new baby brother) over just about anything, so I when I looked over at her I was prepared for something like a sharing problem, or that she wanted to sit where there wasn't any space. I was not prepared to look over and see blood running down her face from her eye.

SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT

1. A kid in my class got hurt.
2. I have a SERIOUS eye squick.
3. I'd had my head turned away for the second it took for her to go from fine to blood running down her face.

Once I'd reassured myself that here eye was not missing or obviously cut (once I got close to her I could see a tiny cut on her lower eyelid) I felt less like puking. But DAMN that was scary. My partner took her and cleaned up the blood, then went to the clinic across the street to get it checked out.

She came back about an hour later - everything was fine, there were two tiny little scratches on the girl's eyelid that were probably made by a fingernail, and they'd been given some eyedrops to use over the next couple of days. Could have been much worse, and everyone spent the rest of the day talking about how scary it was.

(In afternoon daycare, she wasn't allowed to play outside, to keep dirt from getting into the scratches. So for half the time she sat in the office reading books and getting petted and babied by the managers. The second half of the time she helped me vacuum our classroom.)

On top of all of this, I had exactly 30 minutes of prep today. In which I had to vacuum the classroom, tidy up the staffroom, and empty the bathroom garbage can. No time to actually do any prep for the crafts I'm supposed to be planning for next week. (>_<;)

After work I rushed home, by way of the combini (I needed to pick up a blank tape and some Weaver concert tickets we'd ordered... we have numbers 9, 10, and 11 (O_o)), to sit in front of the tv watching Arashi for the last four hours.

Yay for Arashi.

Picked up my new visa today! And the re-entry permit as well. Once again I ended up back at work outside of the grace period they give us.... if they gave us 40 minutes it'd be just fine, but 30 is impossible.

Proof that I am an awesome teacher:

1. I taught one of my 2-year-olds to say "Oh no, I'm naked! Clothes please!"
2. My class knows "I'm Bringing Home a Baby Bumblebee" complete with the throwing-up verse.
3. I can draw Anpanman, Shokupanman, Baikinman, Dokinchan, and Currypanman.

One of the kids at work has come down with..... oh no! H1N1! So now we all have to wear the stupid little masks whenever we go outside, or are on daycare, etc. Even me, even though I've already suffered through the stupid flu. Even though the masks are very much "Oh hey, all the horses are gone, let's shut these barn doors!"

Proof that I am just awesome:

My shirt, socks, and undies! were all the same color today, and that color was orange.

yes i only mention this so that i have an excuse to pull out my poor neglected "underwear" tag

I re-organized my Juniors shop photos. And by "Juniors" I mean "KanJuni." And by "KanJuni" I mean "Mostly Daichi and Bun-chan."

Apparently (thanks MeFi) tomorrow is Wombat Day. "wombat" is a great name. It's got a "wom," and a "bat," and an "omba." (You'd be surprised the number of times I've managed to make reference to that rating over the years...) So um, go read Digger. (Thanks Nick)

I have a tension headache from about my knees on up.

Probably because I am exhausted.

Yes, I stay up too late. But I can't really change that - either I'm awake and doing something or awake and lying in bed.

Except for last night where I went to bed, then woke up about an hour later for no discernible reason whatsoever. And then couldn't get back to sleep for another hour or so. And then my alarm went off.

Stupid alarm.

And we haven't even started getting ready for the Christmas Concert yet!

18番 SO LAME

Stupid worthless typhoon. Didn't cancel school, didn't make my trains run late, didn't even really impress me with lots of rain or wind. 18BAN, I EXPECTED BETTER OF YOU.

Though I don't know why I even ever get my hopes up about typhoons - everyone always talks it up as oooooh it's so scary, the typhoon is coming! but they never do anything here to merit that much hand wringing.

It was fun watching tv yesterday and keeping track of all the storm announcements, though. Why landlocked Nara-ken decided to call a keihou before any of the surrounding areas is still a mystery.

In other news, when I was coming back from work today I put my train ticket in the gate to leave the Hankyu station, and the gate shut on me (even though I had the right fare) and then it wouldn't spit my ticket back out. So I had to go to the window and talk to the eki people.

Who thought it was hilarious that I told them あちの改札はきっぷを食べちゃった! (That gate over there ate my ticket!) I'm not sure WHAT verb I should have used there, but apparently 食べる was not it.

Despite laughing at me, they let me through without any problems.

And I got home and my new Anna Sui bag was delivered, and the Mongol800 album! Yay!

I'm not being emo, I'm just looking at the floor.

This has not been the best of weeks.

Counting from last Thursday:

- complete mental/physical crash on Thursday night, due to stress (I think I fell asleep before 9).

- migraine on Friday, again most likely from stress.

- Saturday couldn't get the paperwork from Kashihara that I needed, 'cause the city office wasn't open (I've gone in on Saturdays before and it was, so I had no reason to expect otherwise).

- Sunday was pretty good, hung out with Laura and Alyson watching 30 Rock, Shounen Club, and The Godfather.

- Took a trip out to Kashihara again on Monday morning, before work, in order to get that paper. (And made it out and back into Toyonaka before 10am, which is pretty amazing)

- Yesterday I turned in my visa renewal application at Immigration. (Which, despite being in the same prefecture as my work, is impossible to get into Toyonaka before 10am.)

- Today my partner had the day off, so I was working with a cover teacher. No problems working with her, but having somebody who doesn't know the schedule/routine just makes the whole day tiring.

- Also today, one of my kids wasn't allowed to eat certain foods (milk, fruit, fried foods) because of a tummy problem. So his mom brought a lunch for him to eat instead of the school lunch he normally has. (this information was given to the cover teacher, who repeated it to me just before circle time) Come lunch time, I'd remembered what foods he couldn't eat, but forgot about the lunch box. So I gave him his normal school lunch, took out the things he couldn't eat, and he had that. But then when mommy came to pick him up..... well, I apologized a lot and explained that I'd taken the things he couldn't eat away.... but she still seemed unhappy.

sometimes it just doesn't matter how many things you do right, it's the mistakes that get remembered

嵐5x10 concert 9/27/09

- they opened with Kansha Kangeki Ame Arashi, which kinda threw me a bit because THAT'S THE GOODBYE SONG!

- solos: Aiba had a really good remix of Pika☆nchi, Nino did a remix of Kotoba Yori Taisetsu na Mono, Oh-chan did his Uta no Oniisan song, Sho had a pretty futsuu version of Dekiru Dake, and MJ did a rather poor remix of Wish (not that MJ did a bad job, but the remix was not very good)

- they had some KanJuni doing the backdancing - we spotted Richard and Yukito, but the rest were too far away/didn't get on camera

- Uchi, Yuma, 7West (I have been informed - I don't recognize them at a glance to be able to tell), Daichi and Muro-nii were there in the kankeisha section.

- They did a really good, long medley of songs from debut up until now....

- THE DEBUT OUTFITS MADE A RETURN. Yes, the clear rain suit thingies with the white boxers underneath. I HAVE SEEN THEM IN PERSON.

- BABY PHOTOS. Nino looked like.... Nino, just baby-sized. MJ had caterpillar eyebrows pretty much from birth. Aiba was cute, Sho was cute, and Ohno was wearing a dress (he also had a photo of him with a shaved head. that never needs to happen ever again, and when we get Aiba's time machine, that's one of the things I'm going to go back and fix. After we finish writing Ike Ike Ikemen.)

- They sang Allergy. ALLERGY, PEOPLE. I AM OWNED.

- During the first encore, when they started Fightsong, Nino spoke his line. And the rest followed.... until Oh-chan, who sang his. And then they went back to speaking, and when it was Ohno's turn again he completely messed up. Oh Ohno, I love you.

- Nearly every single Arashi concert I've been to, the MC has been about them showering/bathing together. This time it was Sho, Nino, and Aiba.

- Nino kept making fun of Aiba, the whole night.

- Aiba apparently was singing along with other members' parts during the songs, he said it was because he "was having too much fun!"

- Nino was close to crying during the goodbye speeches. Nino. Mr. Tacks-in-your-bed. Crying.

- And, as usual, he was all over Oh-chan. Nino needs to stop stealing my boys!

- Seemed to be mostly new fans - the oldest goods I saw were for the Dream Alive tour (I wore the How's It Going shirt, with the C1000 towel, and my Oh-chan SoloCon wristband. I am so <strike>lame</strike> awesome.)

I'm too tired to think of anything else right now, so I'm gonna end this and go to sleep.

9:00 - START! Let's practice!

9:00 - I've never really understood the purpose of one crutch. It's not all that different from just limping around, and you look silly.

9:01 - why is she watching over him doing rehab? shouldn't that be the trainer's job?

9:01 - flashback to The Gift of the Magi. BAA.

9:15 - now that riko's moved out of that room, you should really stop trying to spy on it YamaP.

9:16 - how'd you get up there to do that graffiti, YamaP? you've got a crutch!

9:17 - based on the number of outdoor basketball hoops I saw, this series obviously takes place in Izushi.

9:18 - TIME SLIP TO THE NEW SEASON!

9:19 - still recovering. what do you think, he'll come back in time for the last game and make the winning shot, which will somehow bring riko back?

9:20 - BIG TIME SLIP TO 2010 SUMMER

9:20 - riko's moved up to first chair second violins, yet still manages to get a solo.

9:21 - oh, yamap's back!

9:22 - ooh, they make the playoffs! with a lot of lay-ins. in a gym that looks like my high-school gym.

9:22 - I GET IT ALREADY, THEY'RE BOTH DRAWN TO THINGS THAT REMIND THEM OF EACH OTHER.

9:23 - i don't think that promise holds anymore...

9:23 - yup, that's the team-bonding rituals i know! GOSSIP!

9:24 - oh ex-girlfriend is so emo.

9:25 - kokuhaku time! kokuhaku time! come on dude!

9:26 - IKINARI I AM BACK IN TOKYO!

9:27 - she's keeping up with that bus pretty well!

9:29 - that's a lot of team goods in your house, mai.

9:29 - yeah, 60% is very good for 3-pointers. But I don't believe that's YamaP's stats.

9:30 - YOU say there's nothing going on, but I bet you anything he likes you and you'll end up just leading him on.

9:31 - apparently graffiti is forever.

9:32 - COACH!

9:32 - blah blah blah everyone is ganbattin.

9:35 - well that was a fun talk.

9:37 - semifinals!

9:37 - yeah, YamaP still can't shoot.

9:38 - when the score is 100-90, making the final shot at the buzzer isn't that big a deal.

9:38 - your behavior is kinda stalky, girl.

9:39 - how many times do you have to dump her?

9:40 - teach me how to make french toast too! why don't you just hold a cooking clinic along with your kids basketball camp next time?

9:41 - you can totally see her bra through that shirt.

9:42 - TEARS

9:42 - チャンス! kokuhaku time! kokuhaku time! come on, rebound, rebound!

9:43 - i think you're the only one who didn't know, girl.

9:43 - well, that was easy.

9:45 - why not just ask her to marry you without making it reliant on the outcome of the game?

9:46 - lol mai beat you to it! i like mai.

9:47 - now neither of you are running properly.

9:47 - again with the single sunflower. did you bring it all the way from home? isn't it going to wilt?

9:48 - I HEAR ENGLISH. WHY?

9:49 - that flower is looking remarkably fresh still.

9:49 - yes, she ganbatted her ass off and is still only second violin.

9:52 - will you ever learn to shoot properly, YamaP?

9:53 - less philosophizing about love and more playing basketball please.

9:53 - i am sorry to say that wakayama boy shoots worse than yamap.

9:53 - FINAL GAME

9:54 - i hate those inflatable hitty whacky things.

9:55 - riko has no concentration.

9:56 - ROFLMAO DO YOU REALLY LOVE THE YOUNG MAN? YES, I DO, SO MUCH. EVERYTHING IS OK, LOVE MAKES YOU STRONG. all delivered in an eikaiwa speed and tone!

9:57 - oooh, is the buzzer beat gonna be done by riko? will she make it to the game before it finishes?!

9:58 - come on, build up some more tension, some of those shots have to miss.

9:58 - running, running, shot goes in, running...

9:59 - see, this is why my mom always took her knitting to my games. so she didn't have to leave when it got to a tight finish 'cause she was nervous.

9:59 - OF COURSE. EVERYTHING WILL GO IN PARALLELS.

10:00 - BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAKAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

10:01 - lol that arc was going to end up an airball, oh editing is wonderful.

10:02 - this is my surprised face.

10:03 - hey, i don't see the black dude here. did he get cut for this season?

10:04 - eeeeeeew more kissing stuff.

10:05 - and again.

10:05 - THE END.

Buzzer Beat!

9:00 - RECAP START: RUN AWAY FROM YOUR EX! CRY IN YOUR EX'S ARMS! SUNFLOWER!

9:00 - AWKWARD! And now you're benched for the rest of the season, YamaP!

9:01 - I'm sorry I stole your girlfriend..... I, uh..... thought she was just my friend, and then we, uh..... had a falling-in-love accident.

9:02 - PLEASE DON'T CUT MY PLAYING TIME I WANT TO HAVE MY CAKE AND EAT IT TOO

9:03 - Wait, you're not allowed to do a flashback/recap after the initial one, it throws off my concentration!

9:04 - did you just tell him to show you his love for Riko in the way he plays basketball? does that make any sense to anybody else?

9:05 - yeah sure, my ankle is FIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINE. that's why they're making such a big deal out of this in the script.

9:08 - are you going back to the inaka or not? Mai only wants to know so she has advance warning on finding a new roommate to split rent.

9:09 - that is a damn slow scrimmage.

9:09 - at least these flashbacks had the vaseline-lens tint so I knew what was going on

9:09 - AND THERE GOES THE ANKLE! oh man, i know what THAT feels like!

9:11 - ROFLMAO OF COURSE HE WANTS IT FIXED NOW.... honestly, that's the only reason to go to a sports doctor. especially one that works with pro teams.

9:13 - that probably wasn't the best way to greet somebody, Riko

9:13 - that's a lot of questions to answer all at once.... and she only did one of them.

9:14 - I'm pretty impressed that I read the katakana for Dvorak before the letters.

9:15 - ....didn't she just yell at you for not telling her about your injury? and did you tell her this time?

9:15 - um..... you'd do a lot better if you were wearing you basketball shoes laced up as tight as possible, as a makeshift brace

9:16 - that ankle's not swollen enough.

9:17 - YamaP, what you need is a trainer/team doctor who will wrap that up, give you a brace, and then you lace up your shoes as tight as they go. THEN you can limp through a scrimmage just fine!

9:18 - have you told her yet? you haven't yet, have you?

9:19 - my mom wants me to move back to the inaka and give her some grandbabies.

9:20 - you guys were a lot more fun before you started dating.

9:20 - and YamaP's back to not-kissing.

9:21 - well that was subtle

9:23 - wakayama boy looks cute with tape on his face like that.

9:24 - that was short....

9:25 - eh, you didn't do so great here, but you've got some potential, so practice your ass off

9:26 - SHE IS GONNA BE SO PISSED

9:26 - running down the street is not practicing your ass off.

9:29 - AWKWARD

9:29 - hisashiburi! um..... uh.... how do i say..... I cheated on him and he broke up with me

9:30 - BUT I STILL LOVE HIM (T_T)

9:30 - PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE GIVE HER A SHOUKAI CARD FOR THE QUIZ SHOW RIGHT NOW

9:32 - kinda sucky to tell your girlfriend about your surgery after the fact, in a mail

9:32 - that was a lot of traveling

9:33 - all that work to be last chair second violin!

9:33 - orange watch.

9:33 - I'm telling you, you're doing it wrong. If you want to shoot around, you need to find that trainer to tape and brace your ankle! if you just keep at it like that, you'll end up healing completely, and where's the fun in that?

9:34 - is there no such thing as concert blacks here?

9:35 - that door is opening with great foreshadowing!

9:36 - that's a lot of sunflowers

9:37 - why does riko have the solo when she's sitting last chair in the second violins?!

9:38 - mommy is totally crying 'cause you're not moving back to the inaka to have babies, you know.

9:39 - how many times do people have to ask after his ankle?

9:40 - wait, did you just say that you're giving up on this 'cause you want to date YamaP?! Please tell me I heard that wrong.

9:41 - oh me and Dots are so emo

9:42 - YES THIS IS HOW YOU BUILD A HEALTHY RELATIONSHIP BY GIVING UP WHAT YOU REALLY WANT ALL FOR THE SAKE OF KEEPING YOUR RIVAL AWAY FROM YOUR BOYFRIEND YES THIS IS DEFINITELY FOR THE BEST

9:44 - heehee he's wearing a tie, and she's wearing a shirt with a tie printed on it. this amuses me to no end.

9:45 - so i'm going to give up my basketball for you, and you're going to give up your violin for me... btw i sold my pocket watch to buy you this tortoise-shell comb and you seem to have sold your hair to buy me a chain for my pocket watch I DON'T THINK THIS IS SWEET AT ALL AND NEVER HAVE

9:49 - other people manage long-distance relationships, you know.

9:49 - i haven't been keeping track of the episode count, or how many it's scheduled to run, but DAMN I HOPE IT ENDS ON THIS SCENE I WILL ROFL FOR FOREVER

9:50 - time for another vaseline-tinged nostalgia flashback!

9:50 - LOL THE LIGHTS IKINARI GOING OUT

9:52 - apparently it ends next week. AND THERE'S A BASKETBALL GAME OH I AM SO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

9:00 - Recap: Crying out the window! Hugging! Kissing! Again with the falling over!

9:00 - I don't think YamaP took his shoes off before he left the genkan.

9:01 - Awwww they said suki. Ewwwww more kissing.

9:02 - HIDE OMG NOBODY MUST EVER FIND YOU HERE!

9:02 - Oh yeah, I'd forgotten it was her birthday party.

9:03 - So many points to you if you climb out the window!

9:04 - Don't wanna hear that shit about Christmas Cake, Mai! I hates you.

9:05 - Poor Wakayama boy, sleeping in his little closet

9:06 - I'm sorry I just can't stop laughing at YamaP

9:07 - Opening theme! Early this week!

9:08 - You're not very good at the sneaking out quietly thing.... btw, is your basketball stuff still down on the court out there?

9:09 - Oooooh it's the ring box! But don't worry 'cause I told him I like somebody else so that makes everything ok

9:10 - And now you're thinking about how that'll affect your playing time, yes? That's why you look so worried while hugging her.

9:11 - Awwwww they're holding hands! Go wakayama boy!

9:12 - baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaareta!

9:12 - PAPER AIRPLANES OF LOVE!

9:14 - Well that was awkward

9:15 - I didn't do anything worse than what you did!

9:15 - whatever, I am going to be bitchy anyway.

9:17 - hey, you can totally have a shoujo manga life. and it SUCKS.

9:18 - my experience with guys sports, there aren't nearly enough half-naked guys sitting around in that locker room

9:18 - again, one of you has no idea how to run properly. YamaP, i'm looking at you here.

9:19 - hold your panic attack, i have to answer the phone

9:20 - well that was sucky, getting yelled at in front of the audience and then losing some pay over it

9:21 - WHAT ARE YOU DOING YAMAP I THINK I AM TRAUMATIZED FOR FOREVER.

9:21 - honestly i never listen to a word your mom says and just fill in my own stuff about the quiz show.

9:22 - you read your own press? i never could. creeped me out.

9:23 - NOW you remember that chat you had with your coach re: his girlfriend?!

9:24 - oh, it's the green watch this time. you know, a bounce pass would prolly be easier on her, if she's complaining about it being so heavy

9:25 - i am busy, so i can't cook for you, so here have this recipe of what i WOULD have made. that's kinda cheap.

9:26 - SPYING FROM THE TAXI! wtf is up with people spying in this show?

9:28 - WORST. SET. OF. LINES. EVER.

9:28 - I like how they made sure to have an american flag in the background, just so we all remember where coach is.

9:29 - The black guy got some lines! Go black dude!

9:29 - Seriously Riko, you should listen to Mai. Hanging out with YamaP's ex-girlfriend, when you've just started dating him, is A BAD IDEA. Believe me, I know.

9:30 - Are you wearing a SACK?! Did you just walk out of a Gackt PV?

9:31 - Did you really just lay claim to YamaP with the "I've been his fan longer!" fangirl defense?

9:32 - THIS IS FUCKED UP. YOU ARE TALKING WITH HIS EX - WHO JUST HAPPENED TO BE CHEATING ON HIM WITH HIS TEAMMATE - ABOUT WHAT YOU LIKE ABOUT YAMAP.

9:33 - PINK SHIRT. I think we have to have one (at least) an episode.

9:33 - Oh Wakayama boy, I love you. I think she would have gone out with you even if you'd missed.

9:34 - If you're dating Mai, does that mean you don't have to sleep in the closet anymore?

9:35 - Mai isn't very good at hugging.

9:37 - Ooooh it's Yoyogi's turn to brick everything!

9:37 - HAHAHAHAHA I like her description of how he plays - jikomanzoku no baske!

9:39 - <strike> kotaerarenai kanji?</strike> FUZAKENNA! .....wait, wrong show.

9:41 - they have phones and email in the inaka, don't they?

9:42 - he's not gonna listen to you, mom, even if it's not completely better, he would rather play basketball than take a break.

9:43 - GAH just let it GO, girl!

9:43 - that's some crap defense, YamaP. Time for more awkward moments!

9:48 - Thanks for all the boxes, they will be very useful.
DRAMADA-J (again! again!)

Kunta drew a picture of Muro-nii and labeled it "Muro-nii"!

Bun-chan's was labeled "aniki"!

And apparently Kiku and Kunta hung out a lot during the filming.... maybe this is why Kiku has actually started talking more...

Ninjas!
notes from boredom

1. I hadn't realized, until I started working on the liner notes for my mix cd (uh.... yeah, i'm a bit late on that....) that all the lyrics in Weaver's songs are written by the drummer.

2. This:

<lj-embed id="2" />

3. Still haven't gotten to this week's Buzzer Beat yet. I will, I promise.

4. Starting to feel dehyrdated despite the amount of water/sports drink/juice I've been drinking this week.

5. Once again it seems like having a fever causes my sinuses to fill up with blood, which is all now coming out when I blow my nose.

6. I'm feeling pretty good today, so I probably should be doing something productive, but no, I'm sitting around reading manga and generally being lazy.

7. I don't know if it's the eating part or the pills part, but I always feel about to puke after I take my Tamiflu. Is this normal?

8. Apparently Kasuga-san (from the manzai combi Audrey) has pig flu too. I would like everyone to remember that I had it before it was trendy, thankyouverymuch.

9. I need more stickers.

10. Tonight's the last night for the Veterans' drama.... next week 7West starts theirs (which I'm not nearly as interested in, but I'll tape it anyway). Looking forward to seeing Veterans just running around batshit during tonight's making of episode, though!

YamaP, being the evil soul-sucking eel from outer space that he is, obviously infected both Ryo and me with the piggy flu.
